The Korean national under-18 (U18) 메이저놀이터 softball team suffered a crushing defeat in the first game of the 2023 U18 Women’s Softball Asian Cup qualifiers.
Korea lost to China 0-10 in the first round of the tournament held in Pingtan, China on the 29th.
Korea, which allowed 5 points in the first inning only due to a defensive error, gave 2 points in the 2nd inning and 3 points in the 3rd inning, and eventually bowed its head with a 0-10 4th runaway game.
After the game, coach Jang Jae-ho said, “It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t produce good results. We will definitely win the remaining matches against Hong Kong and the Philippines.”
Korea will play the second round of the preliminary round against Hong Kong at 11:30 am on the 30th.
